School Uniform Drive 2015

Many of our friends and contributors have been asking about our back-to-school supplies giveaway event that the Baldwin Center has hosted for several years.   While we truly appreciate your dedication and eagerness to support such a good cause, we have decided to turn our efforts to an equally worthy endeavor.

Here’s why.  The Pontiac School District, in partnership with local businesses and organizations, is holding its second annual Back-To-School Rally offering fun activities including a book bag giveaway large enough to supply all school children in Pontiac with a new backpack full of supplies!

In order to avoid duplication of services, the Baldwin Center is not asking for notebook paper and colored pencils, but rather dark and white polos and khaki-style pants, as well as other clothing and monetary donations.  (Click on the list at the right to download the flyer.)

The goal of Baldwin Center Uniform Drive 2015 is to collect clothing, gift cards, and money to benefit our youth program participants who attend Pontiac public or charter schools, where uniforms are required.  We hope you will support this effort to send our deserving students back to school dressed for success!

By the way, Baldwin’s After School Program has its own supply wish list, so if you have already collected donations,  we will gladly accept them and pass on remaining supplies to support Pontiac’s Back-To-School Rally 2015.
