Cookbook to Benefit Green Tops Program Needs Recipes

Over the past two summers and now during the school-year, a group of Pontiac high-school students has been honing their business skills by growing and selling produce at the Birmingham Farmer’s market.  This 4-H club named Green Tops has been using curriculum designed by MSU-Extension and has been supported by the Baldwin Center, MSU-Extension and faculty at Oakland University.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary the Birmingham Farmers Market will produce a cookbook highlighting locally grown food much of which can be found at the market that operates each Sunday during the warmer months.  The proceeds from this cookbook will be used to support Green Tops efforts.
